Tomas
Esparza
is a harmonica player from Grand Rapids, MI. Tomas has been playing
blues harmonica for the last 10 years and studied under Billy Raider
former owner of "Billy's Lounge” in East Town Grand Rapids. Tomas’
influences range from old school players like; Little Walter, James
Cotton, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Junior Wells and George “Harmonica’
Smith, to the modern players; Charlie Musselwhite, RJ Mischo,
William Clark, and Steve Guyger. Tomas first appeared on-stage with
Vincent Hayes, performing as a duo at the First Annual Cow Pie Blues
Festival and in the 2003 Kalamazoo Blues Festival. Most recently
Tomas worked with Harry Oman and his Red Hot Blues Band as well
with Count Bracy and the Pleasure Tones. |

Rick
Belkofer (aka: RB)
Rick
Belkofer has established himself over the years as one of West
Michigan's most respected blues guitarists. As the former leader of
the esteemed R.B. & Company, Rick carved a niche throughout the 80's
& 90's in some of West Michigan's best blues venues. Rick often
prefers to play clean, minimizing the use of distortion, and he
delivers his blues with both authenticity and reverence for his
influences.

Steve Mc
Lean
Steve
McLean
is an outstanding Drummer that has an extensive background in all
musical styles. Starting out as early as junior high school in
marching, jazz, and orchestral bands. His playing reflects his
performing experiences having traveled half way around the world
from California to England, and all points in between. His major
influences rest mostly in the Jazz, Motown, and Funk genres, and he
enjoys playing the Blues. He has played in all types of bands,
including rock, country, blues, funk, and variety bands, "I enjoy

Brad Tripp
Brad
Tripp is the newest member of the band. Brad has been playing
blues and jazz for over 20 years. He recently relocated to
West Michigan from Arizona where he played with various blues and
jazz bands for the last 10 years before moving to Michigan in 2006.
Brad met Tomas through Rick (Belkofer), and is a welcomed addition
to The Tomas Esparza Blues Experience. |
