He is a veteran of numerous blues festivals including The Kalamazoo Blues Festival and The Cowpie Blues Festival, as well as many notable blues clubs in West Michigan. Tomas is excited to present his new band, "The Blues Experience".

Update December 18, 2007

NEW CD: "Live at Naya"

Ok, lots of new exciting news! First of all, our new CD is finished! "Live at Naya" contains 13 tracks, including three new originals! Join us at our CD Release Party at Naya Cuisine (where else?) on Saturday March 8, 2008! Make sure you check out some of the new clips from the disk in the "Sounds" section of our site!

Update September 30, 2007

Gary Primich recently passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007. We have lost a great harp player, great man and fine friend. His loss will have a deep impact in the blues community .
Please take a moment of silence when you hold your harp next time...Tomas Esparza Blues Experience.
 
On October 18, 2007 we are having a live blues recording at Naya Cuisine, this will be part of our upcoming CD. We hope you all come to add your cheers and to be part of our recording!!!


Update September 10, 2007

Hey everyone! Make sure you come down to the Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association's annual Blues Challenge on Sunday, Sept 16, and give us your support as we try for a chance to go to Memphis for the 2008 IBC! More info at: www.kvba.org.

Also make sure to come down and check us out at one of our new venues, The Naya Cuisine in Grand Rapids.

More shows added!

More shows have been added for for 2007, and additional dates are coming in every week! Mark your calendars early, and make sure you come out to see us soon! We've been having a great time at The Spectator Sports Bar in Saugatuck, and don't miss our debut at The Sandbar in February!


Update November 5, 2006

Memphis or Bust 2 is November 11, 2006. We will be playing a set at the fundraiser for our friends, The Vincent Hayes Project at the 750 Grill in N. Muskegon (2190 Whitehall Rd.) The VHP won the local KVBA Blues Challenge and will be going to Memphis in February 2007 to compete in the International Blues Challenge on Beale Street. All proceeds from the show go towards helping them meet travel expenses over the four day weekend next February. It's going to be a lot of fun, and you can also catch our friends Tailshaker, and an open blues jam at the end of the night! Door prizes, raffles and drink specials will make this event one not to miss! Get tickets at the 750 Grill (231.740.1144), or at the VHP's website: www.vincenthayes.com.

Hey Everyone! We just booked a last minute show at The Spectator Sports Bar in Saugatuck, MI for Friday, July 28! Show starts at 7pm and we'll be playing until 11pm, so come down and check us out!


We've are excited to announce a personnel change to the band. Welcome Rick Belkofer (aka: RB) on guitar! You might know Rick as the former leader of West Michigan's own R.B. & Company. Make sure you check out Rick's bio on the "Band" page! 

New Sound Clips! We finally have some new sound clips in MP3 format for your listening pleasure! The tracks are from a live recording we did at The Blues Brews & Barbeques Festival at The 750 Grill, and appear on our new demo, which you can get by sending us an email. 2006 Blues Brews & Barbeques Festival

Tomas and The Blues Experience will be playing at the First Annual Blues Brews & Barbeques Festival to be held on Saturday, May 20 at The 750 Grill parking lot in N. Muskegon-2190 Whitehall Rd. Many of Michigan's favorite blues acts will also be there for a full day of fun, food, brews and of course....blues! Tickets are $12 in advance, and can be purchased at Bird's Music, all Tony's Pizza locations, and The 750 Grill. Tickets will also be available for $15 at the door. More information can be found at The West Michigan Blues Society website at WMBS.org.
